ONLY)BEFORE RETURNING THE AUDIO PRODUCT(Fire & Shock Hazard)Before returning the audio product to the user, perform thefollowing safety checks.1. Inspect all lead dress to make certain that leads are notpinched or that hardware is not lodged between the chassisand other metal parts in the audio product.2. Inspect all protective devices such as insulating materials, cabinet, terminal board, adjustment and compartment coversor shields, mechanical insulators etc.3. To be sure that no shock hazard exists, check for leakagecurrent in the following manner.* Plug the AC line cord directly into a 120 volt AC outlet.* Using two clip leads, connect a 1.5k ohm, 10 watt resistorparalleled by a 0.15F capacitor in series with all exposedmetal cabinet parts and a known earth ground, such asconduit or electrical ground connected to earth ground.* Use a VTVM or VOM with 1000 ohm per volt, or higher, sensitivity to measure the AC voltage drop across theresistor (See diagram).* Connect the resistor connection to all exposed metal partshaving a return path to the chassis (antenna, metal cabinet, screw heads, knobs and control shafts, escutcheon, etc.)and measure the AC voltage drop across the resistor. All tests must be repeated with the AC line cord plug connectionreversed.Any reading of 0.3 volt RMS (this corresponds to 0.2 milliamp.AC.) or more is excessive and indicates a potential shockhazard which must be corrected before returning the audioproduct to the owner.FOR A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATION OF THIS UNIT, PLEASE REFERTO THE OPERATION MANUAL.AC SCALEVTVM1.5k ohms10W0.15FTEST PROBETO EXPOSEDMETAL PARTSCONNECT TOKNOWN EARTHGROUNDSPECIFICATIONSCD-RW5000Specifications for this model are subject to changewithout prior notice.I Cassette deck Frequency response50-14,000 Hz (Normal tape) Signal/noise ratio50 dB (recording/playback) Wow and flutter0.3 % (WRMS)I TunerFrequency rangeFM: 87.5-108.0 MHzAM: 530-1,720 kHzI CD-RType1-disc compact disc recorder/playerSignal readoutNon-contact, 3-beam semiconductor laser pickupRotational speed200-500 rpm CLVError correctionCIRC (Cross Interleave Reed-Solomon Code)Quantization16-bit linearFilter64 fs digital interpolation filterFrequency response20 - 20,000 HzD/A converter1-bit D/A converterDynamic range90 dB (1 kHz) playback84 dB (1 kHz) recordingI GeneralPower sourceAC 120 V, 60 HzPower consumption200 WDimensionsWidth: 7-7/8 (200 mm)Height: 13-7/8 (352 mm)Depth: 14-7/8 (377 mm)Weight23.8 lbs (10.8 kg)I AmplifierOutput power100 watts minimum RMS into 6 ohms from 60 Hz to 20kHz, 10 % total harmonic distortionSubwoofer : 60 W/ch(60 Hz - 200 Hz, 6 ohms, 10 % T.H.D.)Main : 40 W/ch(200 Hz - 20 kHz, 6 ohms, 10 % T.H.D.)Output terminalsSpeakers: 6 ohmsHeadphones: 16-50 ohms (recommended; 32 ohms)Digital output (optical)Input terminalsAuxiliary: 500 mV/47 kohmsPhono: 2.5 mV (1 kHz)Digital input (optical)I CD playerType6-disc multi-play compact disc changer playerSignal readoutNon-contact, 3-beam semiconductor laser pickupD/A converter1-bit D/A converterFrequency response20 - 20,000 HzDynamic range90 dB (1 kHz)Type3-way type speaker system2 (5 cm) Tweeter5-1/4 (13 cm) Woofer5-1/4 (13 cm) SubwooferMaximum input power (Total)200 WRated input power (Total)100 WImpedance6 ohmsDimensionsWidth: 8-1/4 (210 mm)Height: 15-7/16 (392 mm)Depth: 13-9/16 (345 mm)Weight11.2 lbs.
