Operation- PlugthepowercableoftheModel200Cintoanommal115volts,50/60 cyclespowersourceandturnontheACpowerswitch.Theinstrumentwillbegin tooperateassoonasthetubeshaveheated,butformaXImumaccuracyawarm- upperiodofabout30minutesISnecessary. SetthefrequencydialandRANGEsWItchsothattheirindIcations,when multipliedtogether,equalsthedeSiredfrequency.Forexample,1.fitISdeSIred toselectanoutputfrequencyof800cyclespersecond,setthefrequencydialto 80andtheRANGEsWItchtoxlO. Connecttheoscillatoroutputbindingpoststotheequipmentbeingdriven andadjusttheAMPL.controlforthedeSiredoutputvoltage. AlthoughtheratedloadfortheModel200Cis1000ohms(resIstive), higherorlowerImpedanceloadsmaybeusedwithoutdamagetotheInstrument. Ahigherimpedanceloadwillresultinlesspoweroutputandalowerimpedance loadwillincreasethepercentageofdIstortIonIntheoutputvoltage. AstheoutputvoltageoftheaudIoOSCIllatorISreducedthepercentageof humvoltagewillincrease.AtthelowerlevelsthishumvoltagebecomesqUIte large,relativetothesinewaveoutputvoltage.ThISundesirableconditioncan beremediedbyoperatingtheaudlOoSClllatoratorsl.lghtlybelowratedoutput andinsertingasuitableattenuatorbetweentheoSClllatorandtheeqUIpmentbeing drivenbytheoscillator;ThevoltagedIVIdercirCUItshownbelowissatisfactory formostapplications.
