Againof20dbmaybeobtainedwiththisamplifier.Uptofiveamp- lifiersmaybecascadedforadditionalamplification. GAIN Thisvariableresistorcontrolsthegainoftheamplifier. FUSE Thefuseholder,locatedonthepanel,containsthepowerline fuse.Replacementfusesshouldbeofthetypespecifiedinthe TableofReplaceableParts. POWERCABLE Thethree-conductorpowercablesuppliedwiththisinstrument isterminatedinapolarizedthree-prongmaleconnector.The thirdcontactisanoffset,roundpinaddedtoastandardtwo- bladeda-cplugwhichgroundstheinstrumentchassiswhenused withanappropriatereceptacle.Anadaptermaybeusedtocon- nectthisplugtoastandardtwocontactsystem.Whentheadapter isused,thegroundconnectionisbroughtoutonashortwire. Thisgroundleadshouldthenbeconnectedtoasuitableground fortheprotectionofoperatingpersonnel.
