Solution: 1. Change the procedure for the circuit protection operation. Before Updating: Originally, the unit was designed to go into STANDBY mode with the STANDBY LED flickering every 500m sec. upon detection of an abnormality. The unit would never be powered on by the standby switch or the remote control, so over dissipation never occurred. However, if the unit was unplugged and plugged in again, component over dissipation could occur before the unit went into standby a few seconds later. After Updating: The unit has been modified never to be powered on by any means once it goes into standby with the standby led flickering every 125m sec., unless a specialized procedure (*1 described below) is performed. Specialized Procedure: *1: If the unit cannot be powered on after being plugged in again (with the STANDBY LED flickering every 125m seconds), the power amp has failed. The unit still can be powered on again through the following method, but it can further damage the power amplifier.
