CD R/W) and recording on Audio CD- R and CD-R/W Disc consisting of: CD (Recording) Drive Mechanism Tray Loading Mechanism Front-end Board inclusive CD -Servo control Software Backend Board containing Application software Metal Encasing (for EMC Screening and mechanical fixation) Not included is the User Interface that has to be handled by the Set front application. This user interface controls functions that are set independently like: display and key handling. Note: The EMC screening is not mounted in some applications. The CD (Recording) Drive Mechanism, Tray Loading Mechanism and Front-end Board part of the module can have 2 different executions. One is called FREYA the other RACOON. As information and repair activity about RACOON is not defined yet, this part is not included in this Service Manual. Notice that both Mechanisms can not be interchanged, so RACOON has to be replaced by RACOON, FREYA by FREYA. Ref.UL Standard NO.1492. NOTE ON SAFETY: Symbol : Fire or electrical shock hazard. Zorg ervoor dat u tijdens reparatie via een polsband met weerstand verbonden bent met hetzelfde potentiaal als de massa van het apparaat. Houd componenten en hulpmiddelen ook op ditzelfde potentiaal. Careless handling during repair can reduce life drastically. When repairing, make sure that you are connected with the same potential as the mass of the set via a wrist wrap with resistance. Keep components and tools also at this potential. Reset IIS _BCLK_FREYA: IIS_DATAI_FREYA and IIS_DATAO_FREYA. IIS_data-out is used when recording. IIS_data_in can be used for playback from front-end CDR-drive. IIS2 is output only, and connected to the DAC (pos 7311). Audio content can be from either CDR or CD module when used in changer mode (only for double-decks). The IIS2 signals have the extentions DAC. So IIS_WS_DAC; IIS_BCLK_DAC and IIS_DATAO_DAC. In DJ mode, IIS2 only contains audio data from the CD module. In DJ mode, IIS1 output is used to connect a separate DAC through connector 1215 (IIS_DATAO_FREYA). For single-decks, IIS2 contains CDR audio. IIS3 is input only. IIS3 is connected to the ADC (pos 7312). This input is used during analog recording (external or internal) and during monitor mode. The IIS3 signals have the extension ADC. So IIS_WS_ADC; IIS_BCLK_ADC and IIS_DATAI_ADC. IIS4 is input only and can be
