Press the OSD/Menu button and navigate to the System l ine. Press the OK button to displ ay the System Settings menu. Panel Timeout: This settin
15、g al l ows you to set the AVRs f ront-panel displ ay to automatical l y turn of f af ter remaining on f or a predertimined time (3 10 seconds) each time you use a control . Set this to “Of f ” to have the displ ay remain on continual l y.Auto Power Of f : This setting al l ows you to set the AVR to
16、automatical l y switch to the Of f mode af ter being in the Sl eep mode f or a predetermined time (1 8 hours) and switch to the Sl eep mode af ter this amount of time if a source with an anal og audio input or internal source (FM, AM, USB, iPod, Home Network, vTuner or DMR) is active. 17、i cat or/ Power But t on, on page 5, f or more inf ormation.Menu Timeout: This setting al l ows you to set the amount of time (20 50 seconds) a menu screen wil l remain on af ter the l ast adj ustment. Set this to “Of f ” to have the menus remain on continual l y until you press the OSD/Menu button.
18、Status Message: When the AVR is turned on, the vol ume is adj usted, the source is changed or a change in the input signal is detected, a status message wil l be displ ayed on the TV screen. Sel ect how l ong the message remains visibl e, f rom 2 to 10 seconds, with a def aul t of 3 seconds. Sel ect
19、 “Of f ” if you do not wish to see the status messages on the TV screen (they wil l stil l appear on the AVRs f ront-panel message displ ay).Vol ume Def aul t and Def aul t Vol ume Setting: These two settings are used together to program the vol ume l evel when you turn on the AVR. Set Vol ume Def a
20、ul t to On, and then set the Def aul t Vol ume Setting to the desired turn-on vol ume. When Vol ume Def aul t is set to Of f , the AVR wil l turn on at the l ast-used vol ume setting f rom the previous l istening session.HDMI Audio to TV: This setting determines whether HDMI audio signal s are passe
21、d through the HDMI Monitor Out connector to the video displ ay. I n normal operation, l eave this setting at Of f , as audio wil l be pl ayed through the AVR. To use the TV by itsel f , without the home theater system, turn this setting to On. I n this case you wil l need to mute the TVs speakers (o
22、r switch the setting to Of f ) when using the AVR f or audio.HDMI Link: This setting al l ows the communication of control inf ormation among the HDMI devices in your system. Turn this setting to On to al l ow control communication between the HDMI devices; turn the setting to Of f to f orbid contro
23、l communication. When this setting is set to Of f , the TV source audio input is set to Optical . When this setting is set to On, the TV source audio input is set to HDMI ARC.Sof tware Update: I f a sof tware upgrade is rel eased f or your AVR, instal l ation instructions wil l be avail abl e in the
24、 Product Support section of the Web site or f rom Harman Kardon customer service. At that time, you may use this submenu to instal l the upgrade sof tware.I MPORTANT: During a sof tware upgrade, do not power of f the AVR or use any of its control s. Doing so coul d permanentl y damage the AVR.Sl eep
25、 TimerThe sl eep timer sets the AVR to pl ay f or up to 90 minutes and then turn of f automatical l y.Press the Sl eep button on the remote, and the time until turn-of f wil l be displ ayed. Each additional press of the Sl eep button decreases the pl ay time by 10 minutes, f rom 90 to 10 minutes. Th
