、INSTRUCTION MANUAL HF/50 MHz ALL MODE TRANSCEIVER i756PRO This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is sub- ject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference
、that may cause undesired operation. Downloaded by? RadioAmateur.EU i IMPORTANT READ THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLYbefore attempting to operate the transceiver. SAVE THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL.This manual contains important safety and operating in- structions for the IC-756PROII. EXPLICIT DEFINITIONS
、 RWARNING HIGH VOLTAGE! NEVERat- tach an antenna or internal antenna connector during transmission. This may result in an electrical shock or burn. RNEVERapply AC to the DC13.8V jack on the transceiver rear panel. This could cause a fi re or ruin the transceiver. RNEVERapply more than 16 V DC, such
、as a 24 V battery, to the DC13.8V jack on the transceiver rear panel. This could cause a fi re or ruin the transceiver. RNEVERlet metal, wire or other objects touch any internal part or connectors on the rear panel of the transceiver. This may result in an electric shock. NEVERexpose the transceiver
、 to rain, snow or any liquids. AVOID using or placing the transceiver in areas with temperatures below 10C (+14F) or above +50C (+122F). Be aware that temperatures on a vehicles dashboard can exceed 80C (+176F), resulting in per- manent damage to the transceiver if left there for ex- tended periods.
、 AVOID placing the transceiver in excessively dusty en- vironments or in direct sunlight. AVOID placing the transceiver against walls or putting anything on top of the transceiver. This will obstruct heat dissipation. Place unit in a secure place to avoid inadvertent use by children. During mobile o
、peration, DO NOT operate the trans- ceiver without running the vehicles engine. When transceiver power is ON and your vehicles engine is OFF, the vehicles battery will soon become ex- hausted. Make sure the transceiver power is OFF before start- ing the vehicle. This will avoid possible damage to th
、e transceiver by ignition voltage spikes. During maritime mobile operation, keep the transceiver and microphone as far away as possible from the mag- netic navigation compass to prevent erroneous indica- tions. BE CAREFUL! The heatsink will become hot when op- erating the transceiver continuously fo
、r long periods. BE CAREFUL! If a linear amplifier is connected, set the transceivers RF output power to less than the lin- ear amplifi ers maximum input level, otherwise, the lin- ear amplifi er will be damaged. Use Icom microphones only (supplied or optional). Other manufacturers microphones have d
、ifferent pin assignments, and connection to the IC-756PROII may damage the transceiver. PRECAUTIONS Spurious may be received near the following frequencies. These are made in the internal circuit and does not indicate a transceiver malfunction: 6.144 MHz, 8.000 MHz, 12.288 MHz, 12.890 MHz (when spec
